License fees are calculated based on two variables:
- Concurrent Users - The number of the people who will be using the system simultaneously.
- Modules - The number of modules purchased (Collections, Archives,
Archaeology, and the Web Interface).

Additional Services
Data Conversions
Often pre-existing data can be easily imported to Proficio by the client, but sometimes the data can't be easily exported from the client's current database. In these cases the Re:discovery staff does the data conversion. We quote them individually, based on the time anticipated.

Customizations
Proficio Users can make many changes to Proficio to fit their individual collection (see
Features). Re:discovery's software engineers can also make more extensive customizations to the system.

Re:discovery Software gives fixed-price quotes in advance based on the time anticipated to complete the work. The hourly rate is $150 per hour.

The Typical Process
The list below details typical steps for evaluating and purchasing Proficio.
- Discuss your institution’s collections management needs with a Re:discovery Software representative.
- Schedule and view a Proficio web demonstration.
- Receive detailed Proficio documentation, a demonstration CD, and a price quote.
- Further discuss and agree upon the implementation and payment plan.
- Receive, sign, and return licensing agreement.
- A Re:discovery project manager will oversee the installation, and if applicable, the data conversion and customizations.
- The project manager will conduct a web-based training session (training is included with purchase of Proficio).
- Receive 90 days of free support—call on any weekday for technical assistance (excluding major holidays).
- Biyearly checkups: A Re:discovery Software representative will ensure that you are still fully operational and satisfied.
- If you opted to pay for monthly support, you’ll also receive software upgrades.
