How do I attach images to catalog records
A well-planned approach to digital image management makes it easier to manage images and to
attach them to records. Also, over time you will most likely update your computer and network setups,
and a good plan makes the transition simpler. See our White Paper on Planning Digital Image Management before
beginning your digital image project.
What are the hardware requirements for Re:discovery version 6?

How do I install the program?
Look in the vrediscov\documentation folder on the server where Re:discovery lives to find
instructions for installing the program, setting up workstations,
setting file permissions, and more. These instructions can also be printed.
How do I setup a network workstation?
For instructions that you can view or print, look in the vrediscov\documentation folder
on the server where Re:discovery lives to find instructions for your version of Re:discovery.
How do I establish file permissions?
Your network administrator can establish file permissions that help protect your system and
collection data. See our White Papers on File Permissions for Windows XP,
or our White Paper on File Permissions for Windows XP for Workgroups.
For recommended setup for Windows NT, use the general File Permissions white paper.
How do I move ANCS+ from an old computer to a new computer?
If you need to move your Re:discovery version 6 program and data files from an old computer
to a new computer, or from a stand-alone computer to a network server, follow the instructions in our White Paper
Moving the Program. If you have a version earlier than 6.3, contact Re:discovery Tech Support--you
will still use these basic instructions but will use use your install disk and the installation instructions on that disk for the initial
install.
